AMAZING art

So I was working on a school project recently and we were required to read this book about an artist named Richard Shaw. The book was actually really short. The first two pages were his biography which was actually pretty interesting. Apparently his father was an animator for Disney, but he wanted to do "real" art. Julie was greatly offended by this statement. The rest of the book was pictures of the ceramics that he makes. I could not believe that they were made from porcelain. They are incredibly detailed and accurate. Click on the word ceramics to see some of the stuff he does. They are amazing. His still lifes are especially my favorite. Life Update: 9/08

Here is a picture of my beautiful tres leches bundt cake that I made for Julie's birthday party. We later had to explain to Jacob what tres leches meant...good lord, boy.

I took the first picture the first time I ever ran into Christine in college haha. I had to document the event because it took so long. Julie was there too haha.

 

This is a picture I took of the mural on the wall of Saggio's in the SUB. Rachel was very distraught about the fact that Adam's dick is missing in this picture... I just liked the fact that they are in a heart haha.

 

This is a picture I took of the view of the catwalk in Rodey theater from the seats below it. I took this during Intro to Stage Lighting since we were doing absolutely nothing else in that class.

 

So I didn't take this picture, but it was on my camera and I liked it. I assume Allie probably took it. This is my dog Jazzy. I think this shows her personality pretty well. Can't keep her damn mouth shut haha.

 

College life thus far

So far college has been absolutely amazing. At the moment my chosen major is Design for Performance. I'm excited about it. This entails taking Intro to Stage Lighting which I am very excited about. I am also helping with sound for the production of Rent in October/November!!! OMG!!! Haha this is a big deal for me!!! Also, today in my (AMAZING!!) Jazz I class we learned a freaking fun dance to Great DJ by the Ting Tings!! It made my day. No, seriously, it was the greatest thing that happened all day. I freaked. Oh!! I also went and visited a sorority today, it was beautiful. It looked like a sorority from a movie, with the white bricks with vines running up and down and the swinging chair on the porch. It was way exciting.
